Knighton is a beautiful market town with winding streets and half timbered houses. There are many wonderful walks in the Knighton area , including the famous Offa's Dyke footpath that roughly follows the Welsh - English border, it stretches some 170 miles from Chepstow to Prestatyn. Knighton is the only town that straddles Offa's Dyke.

Glyndwr's Way national trail begins in Knighton, named after Owain Glyndwr the 15th century famous Welsh statesman. Glyndwr’s Way is approximately 135miles long, running through the heart of Mid Wales, ending in Welshpool. The clock tower in Knighton is the official starting point.
If walking isn't your thing there are many ways to spend your day. Milebrook is ideally situated for those who like to visit beautiful historic towns or castles. The lively market town of Ludlow is only 12 miles away and the beautiful village of Clun only 7 miles. There are many other towns and villages close by worth a visit, Presteigne is only 7 miles away with the famous Judges Lodgings Museum. There are many fantastic gardens and plant nurseries for you to visit too, many guests leave with a car full of plants!
For those who like to look to the stars we have The Space Guard Centre, an astronomical observatory located just a mile from the hotel. The Phil Price Rally School is about five miles away, the ideal way to spend an exhilarating day! Perfect for a birthday or anniversary present.
Milebrook House Hotel is an excellent place for bird watchers, we have a great many species including Red Kites, Buzzards, Dippers, Spotted Fly Catchers, Kingfishers, Peregrine Falcons, Ravens and lots more. The Red Kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm is not too far away.
Milebrook has a long stretch of fly-fishing on the Teme, which borders Shropshire and Powys. A most tranquil and beautiful river. Knighton is situated on the Heart of Wales line and is on one of the most scenic railway lines. Milebrook House will provide transport from the Knighton railway station on request to residents.
